Testing WIP sweater fit?
Brand new knitter making my first sweater! The pattern recommends trying it on to test the fit periodically and I'm not sure how to do that as I am using 80 cm needles (recommended) and my torso is wider than 80 cm? I can certainly get it over my head but once it gets longer than the collarbone the loops would fall off the needle if I tried to put it on? Is the simple answer that at some point you just don't try it on?
